Now What Lexington? this Saturday

April 14, 2010

Now What, Lexington?, an “unconference” initiated by ProgressLex (new non-profit!) and the Carnegie Center (new website!) to serve as a response to last week’s Creative Cities Summit, will take place this Saturday, April 17. The event starts around 9 a.m. (breakfast and registration at 8:30) but unlike your typical conference, there is no agenda : the plan is to schedule various breakout sessions the morning of the event,  led by whomever chooses to sign up to lead one, on a topic of their choice. The only constituency is that the sessions be geared toward action of some sort, the idea being to use the day as a means to outline various ways Lexington residents can enact the change they want to see in their city.

To register, or to get more info on the event – which is free and open to the public -check out NowWhatLexington.org.
